I found myself July 25, 26, 2025 in Bridgeport, California (back row 7 from L). In addition to a contemporary Women Western Art show, this event serves as a  scholarship fund raiser women makers wanting to advance their skills in areas such as:  Silversmithing, Saddle Making, Leather Work.  The window to apply for scholarships begins January 1, 2026 going the month of January.  There is a vetting process and review to pick the best recipients for Scharlships.   For more information please visit:   The Rodear.   ~DM
Bridgeport, CA. is absolutely adorable.  Very small and quant, where two highways merge into 395.  It was "my kinda town!"  I loved the historic loading chutes, and the sweet homestead (which offered a "two-seater" out back)!  This show provided me and my sweet "Ava" a bit of R & R on our patio on the River!

Being at the A. R. Mitchell Museum of Western Art at the event sponcored by Cowgirl Artists of America (CGA) was such an honor (4th from L).  This is a compilation of several Women Western Artists and Makers of both 2-D and 3-D (traditional) art.  This is a two month long event showcasing several works that runs from Aug. 2 - Sept. 30, 2025, in Trinadad, Colorado.  For more information, please visit both the CGA at Cowgirl Artists of America (https://cowgirlartistsofamerica.org)  OR the  A. R. Mitchell Museum of Western Art (https://armitchellmuseum.com) ~DM
The experience of the trip to Trinadad, Co., was a "once in a lifetime occurance!"  Travel fun with saddle maker:  Kari McCluey set the stage for four days of travel enjoyment!  Downtown Trinadad is full of historic buildings that becken learning more about each one.  Our display at the A. R. Mitchell Museum of Western Art was soley the brain child of Kari!  Contributors to the display:  Kari McCluey, saddle maker; myself, saddle pad; bosal, Justine Nelson-Graham; mecater maker, Gloria Michelle; hair cinche maker, Helen Dougal; sterlaing horn cap, Susan Adams.  Truly a compilation of six contempory western women artist in 3-D traditional works.  If possible, please visit this display and others from Aug. 2 - Sept. 30, 2025 and see for yourself the remarkable collection of creations!

The famous "BRUNEAU Cowboy Christmas" is one of Idaho's Gathering of Makers and Sellers alike with one ideal in mind: To offer quality handmade gear, tack, and art!  This show could very well be the "Biggest Little Show" between the Snake River and the Pacific Ocean!  For more information, please visit:
